Manufacturing & Processing Technologies
Safety of Raw Materials
Individual cows are identified using a radio frequency identification (RFID) system, with electronic earring markers worn from birth until slaughter. After slaughter, a barcode system is implemented throughout the distribution network, enabling quick tracking of any potential disease sources. Australian cows have been certified BSE-free by leading authorities worldwide.
Safety & Efficacy of Manufacturing Process
In 2012, Chiyewon’s manufacturing facility has been certified by CE ISO13485. Ti-oss® and Octabone® have passed virus inactivation, anti-toxicity, biocompatibility tests, animal comparison test, gamma sterilization test, etc. done by nationally approved laboratories. Due to its state of the art mid-temperature processing & multiporosity manufacturing techniques, Ti-oss® and Octabone® show high osteoconductivity compared to the other bone graft substitute brands using high-temperature (over 1200°.)
Multiporosity Manufacturing Technique
The healing biology of bone grafting primarily depends on the successful relocation of blood vessels into the graft, which is essential for supplying necessary oxygen, nutrients, and cells. This vascularization is particularly critical during the initial two weeks of bone growth (Reference: Clinical Data - Bone Graft Biology). The multiporous characteristics of the graft material create an optimal environment for this process. Chiyewon has successfully developed a unique and streamlined technique for producing cancellous bone substitutes in sizes of 0.5-1.2 mm and 1.2-1.7 mm, following over two years of rigorous research and experimentation.
Osteopromoting Factor
Unique to Chiyewon, the advanced octacalcium phosphate crystal is found on the surface of Ti-oss®. This is the key factor behind the company's osteopromoting properties, resulting in superior and faster bone formation compared to any other products on the market.
